Who am i?

Hello, I'm Fiachra, a 27-year-old Certified Nutritionist and online coach from Leixlip, Kildare, Ireland.

From a young age, my life revolved around sports and fitness. Yet, in my late teens and early twenties, I drifted away from that athletic identity, succumbing to a sedentary lifestyle marred by unhealthy habits and classic Irish binge drinking. The monotony of a draining recruitment job only intensified this sense of disconnect.

It wasn't long before I recognised the need for a dramatic change. Leaving that job behind, I fully immersed myself in health and fitness studies, chasing big endurance goals, and living a life that was more in line with how I was as a child and as a teenager.

This personal transformation wasn't just about reclaiming my own health; it kindled a passion for guiding others on similar journeys. Today, as a Certified Nutritionist and online coach, I'm on a mission to inspire, empower, and support individuals as they seek a healthier, more fulfilling life.

challenges & Endeavors

Over the last number of years I’ve attempted a number of different health and fitness related challenges, these include endurance running and swimming challenges as well as an intensive photoshoot prep. I did these things as an avenue to further develop my own health and fitness and to explore the limits of my own resilience.

7 X 4 X 4

In November 2020, drawing inspiration from the David Goggins Challenge—where the task is to run 4 miles every 4 hours over 2 days—I chose to elevate the stakes. I committed to running 7km every 4 hours for 4 days, effectively covering the distance of four marathons in four days (168.8km). While this challenge pushed me to my limits, its successful completion instilled in me a profound sense of confidence and underscored my inner resilience.

Swim to Inis Mór

In August 2021 I became the first person, as far as I know, to swim from Galway to Inis Mór. What was anticipated to be a 6-hour, 13km journey was reshaped by unexpected currents and winds, extending the swim to a challenging 20km over 9 hours. I learnt a huge amount during the training for this swim, and the actual execution of it.

Photoshoot Prep

Having completed several endurance challenges, I pivoted towards a body composition goal and committed to prepping for a fitness style photoshoot. With ruthless execution and a huge amount of support, I successfully shed 26kg in the 20 weeks leading up to the shoot. This journey deepened my understanding of body composition strategies and underscored the value of focus and the importance of enjoying the process.

In a field dominated by generic, one-size-fits-all solutions, my approach to health and fitness coaching stands apart.

I understand that every person I work with is unique, each with their own distinct goals, lifestyles, and challenges. With this in mind, I've built my practice around providing personalised, comprehensive coaching that respects and responds to these individual differences.

My approach is comprehensive, recognising that physical fitness is just one facet of overall health. I integrate physical training, nutritional guidance, behavioural change strategies, lifestyle development to empower my clients to not just reach their immediate fitness goals, but to maintain their results in the long term and enhance their overall quality of life.
