"In June 2022, I sought out Fiachra's expertise to elevate my fitness for the upcoming 2023 inter-county hurling season. Right off the bat, Fiachra provided an exceptionally comprehensive programme, marrying weight training and conditioning in a way that aligned with my unique goals. His level of attention to detail was remarkable.
The journey with Fiachra was not just about achieving physical goals—it transformed my habits and my approach to health and fitness. His insightful coaching gave me the necessary tools to sustain these newfound practices even after we completed our focused programme, with a clear vision to regroup for pre-season in October 2023.

When I first started with Fiachra I had a very general base knowledge of nutrition. From my time with he taught me about the importance of nutrition and different aspects to it. This greatly improved my knowledge and appreciation for it, it has given me the confidence and know-how of what to eat, how much and when.
I had always found it a bit overwhelming as there’s just so much to know but Fiachra taught me about it all in a way that didn’t dump all the information on me but used my experiences and challenges and explained in a real-world simple way, what I should be doing where to make small changes to see big results.
I would recommend Fiachra in a heartbeat to anyone. He’s different to other coaches as there’s a more personal factor to working with him and it’s obvious how much he cares for and looks out for his clients in the way he’d ask about how your life is going as much as he’d ask about how nutrition/training is going, he cares about you, not just the results.

I decided to approach Fiachra as I wanted to become stronger. I took a long break from playing Gaelic Football with COVID and moving abroad and had decided I wanted to go back playing. I had done one gym session with a Division One team and although I’ve always considered myself to be strong and fit I realised my strength was way off the mark in comparison to the other women on the team. I wanted to get stronger and build muscle and felt that I needed guidance to do this properly as I had never been into weight training. I could also see how passionate Fiachra was about helping people to achieve their goals in a healthy and sustainable way so felt he would be a great match for me!
The service was amazing. Fiachra’s attention to detail throughout was second to none. He was always available to have a chat or send a voice note when I needed him and he went above and beyond when responding to any queries. His programmes were tailored to my goals and he took everything into consideration when creating my plan, including how much time I could spend in the gym etc.
I was surprised with how easy it was to stick to the process and how motivated I felt. I think this was mainly due to how clearly my training was set out and the number of goal setting and revaluation sessions I had with Fiachra throughout. I was also surprised that I didn’t need to majorly alter my lifestyle in order to achieve my goals. I was able to balance my social life with my sessions. Fiachra gave me the tools to do this and was realistic with how many sessions I would be able to complete a week.
Firstly, I became a lot stronger and it felt great seeing improvements each week. I also really enjoyed the process and ticking off each session. Fiachra also helped a lot with food freedom. I would have been a person who was extremely conscious of what I was eating and at times became a bit obsessed with My Fitness Pal. Fiachra helped me to realise that although tracking can be useful it is important to not focus on it too much and be more aware of how hungry I am throughout the day and to listen to my body.
I now have way less guilt when it comes to food and although I always try to make healthier choices I know that one “bad” meal or snack won’t ruin my entire week's progress. I also feel a lot more confident on the gym floor with regards to using equipment etc which is great.
Fiachra has given me a set of tools that I will carry with me for life. I now realise my own capabilities in the gym and appreciate how important consistency is when achieving a goal. I now feel I would be able to create my own gym plans and track my progress without needing a massive amount of help which is great!

I first approached Fiachra when I decided it was time to add some structure to my training. Lacking a sense of direction and purpose, Fiachra introduced a plan that helped me work towards some specific fitness goals, while also making sure that training was varied enough that I didn’t find it repetitive.
Having worked with two coaches previously, I found the service to be far more personal, professional and purposeful from the very beginning and throughout. Fiachra’s approach perfectly balanced the personal and the professional side of coaching. While other mentors communicate in a common language, Fiachra educated, challenged and supported me throughout the entire process in a way that worked best for me. Having spoken to his other clients, I found that his method was different throughout, but the quality and tailored nature of his service was common among all.
Fiachra’s commitment to constantly increasing, and improving his knowledge of his craft blew me away. It was very comforting knowing that everything he recommended was backed up and legitimate. His no-nonsense approach to getting the basics right won me over, and will stick with me for some time. His approach has helped me since our time together to continue working towards my fitness goals while also accommodating all other aspects of life.
I ticked off goals that included running 10km comfortably, while also being able to gain strength in the gym. However, the greatest benefit for me was learning the benefits of, and strategies for living a healthy life across the board.
